Dr. Saman S. Hettige - Architect of Holistic Wellness

Dr. Saman S. Hettige embodies the role of an Ayurvedic Psychiatrist with remarkable depth and versatility. Holding the esteemed position of Vice President, Senior Lecturer, Senate Member, and Director of Traditional Medicines at “Medicina Alternativa,” The Open International University for Complementary Medicines, his influence extends far beyond conventional boundaries.

The saga of Dr. Hettige’s impact spans diverse domains. As the Managing Director of Mansa Ayurveda Hospital, he orchestrates a haven of holistic healing. His leadership legacy includes a term as Chairman of SAJICA-Sir Anton Jayasuriya Int’l College of Acupuncture, where his role in bridging ancient healing modalities with modern understanding is palpable.

With an impressive list of academic accolades, including a Diploma in Acupuncture from the People’s Republic of China and specialized expertise in cosmetic acupuncture, Dr. Hettige infuses aesthetic dimensions into healing practices. A Dip in Psychology from the American College intertwines psychological insights into his therapeutic approach.

He delves deep into the intersection of Buddhism and Ayurveda, holding PG Diplomas and Master’s in Buddhist Ayurveda Psychiatry & Counseling from Nagananda Int’l Buddhist University and the University of Kelaniya, respectively. He is a dedicated scholar in the realms of health administration, holding an EMSc in Executive Masters in Science from Asia e-University and an MBA/Health Administration.

Currently pursuing an MPhil leading to a PhD at the University of Kelaniya’s Department of Post Graduate Institute of Pali and Buddhist Studies, Dr. Hettige is shaping the future of integrated healing practices. His presence as a Visiting Lecturer at GWUIM – Gampaha Wickramarachchi University of Indigenous Medicines and University of Kelaniya’s PGIPBS adds another layer of enrichment to his multifaceted journey.

Dr. Hettige’s role in the Ayurvedic Therapist Training Course adds an architect’s touch to the foundation of wellness. His expertise spans not only the realms of Ayurveda but also delves into the soul of healing, merging ancient wisdom with contemporary understanding.

Armed with an MBBS from the esteemed University of Colombo and an MBA in Health Administration, his journey encompasses both healing and holistic health management.

Formerly a Medical Officer specializing in Non-Communicable Diseases, Dr. De Silva’s understanding of the intricate links between medical science and wellness is exceptional. As a Founding Member and Head of Wellness at MyDoctor.lk, he has been at the forefront of integrating medical care and proactive health management. With an innate passion for guiding individuals toward comprehensive well-being, Dr. De Silva’s presence adds a valuable layer to the Ayurvedic Therapist Training Course.

Nilangi Kulasinghe - Yoga Practitioner

Nilangi Kulasinghe is a distinguished Yoga Practitioner with a background in Yoga Therapy and Education. She holds a Yoga Therapy Diploma from Breathing Deeply Yoga Therapy Institute in Boston, and is currently pursuing the Certificate for International Association of Yoga Therapists (C-IAYT) from the Paramanand Institute of Yoga Sciences & Research in India. Nilangi’s journey into the world of yoga began with her Yoga Teacher Training at the Swami Vivekananda Anusanthana Samsthana in Bangalore.

With a strong foundation in both traditional yoga practices and therapeutic techniques, Nilangi offers a holistic approach to well-being. Her commitment to continuous learning is evident through her academic achievements, including a Bachelor of Science in Business & Technology Management from Clarkson University in New York.

Nilangi’s passion for yoga extends beyond personal practice. She is a dedicated educator with extensive teaching experience, having conducted classes and workshops in both local and international settings.
